June 2023 Camp Boomerang with Roland Bellido

In June 2023 we had a two day camp with Roland. Some of us arrived on the Friday afternoon to set up camp, settle the horses in and get the Pimms made. We had excellent catering from Toni and lessons stared at 9am on the Saturday morning.

There was plenty of choice over what we could do. Boomerang has a showjumping arena with a full set of Jump 4 Joy jumps, a large arena we used for flat work or poles and a cross country course with something for everyone. We split into three groups of three or four and had two lessons of our choice on the Saturday and two on the Sunday.

In the evening it was great to be able to gather around the wood burning stove in "The Shack", which also housed the kitchen and dining area, before heading back to our trailers, lorries or tents to sleep.

Roland was great, really making everyone feel welcome in his sessions. It's safe to say we all came away having learnt something.
