This is the qualifier for the BRC HORSYLX Winter Show jumping Championships to be held at Arena UK, Allington Lane, Allington, Grantham, NG32 2EF on 28th  -  29th March 2026

ENTRY FEE £20 PLUS £5 FIRST AID per Rider

1.     For Winter qualifiers and onwards, BRC has introduced a ‘competition pass’ this will take the place of Pre-Entries. To compete and qualify for BRC championships, all entrants must have a valid club membership AND a valid competition pass, which can be purchased via the BRC Sport80 portal. Any member competing at a qualifier without both club membership and a competition pass will be disqualified.

2.      It is the rider’s responsibility to ensure they meet the eligibility criteria, the eligibility table can be found here

3.      Horses can only compete in 2 consecutive classes (ie 60 & 70, or 90 & 100)

4.      No refunds if less than 48hrs before. In the event of cancellation refunds will be given less £5 administration fee when requested by email to caroline.exley@talk21.com

Petworth Schooling Course is a 15 acre site with something to suit everyone from the novice to the more experienced. The course has been designed with the support of Adrian Ditcham (designer of the London 2012 Olympic cross country course).

Jumps range from 60cm to 100cm with a water complex and a 400m uphill training gallops.

Simon Luck, BHSAI RDA GI has worked with Pony Club ponies to Polo ponies. He manages Petworth Schooling course running a variety of clinics for riding clubs.

His main hobby has come to be in the producing of horses for the show ring including cobs and working hunters to young stock in hand.

Qualifiers for the championships which will be held on 29th - 31st May 2026 at Aston Le Walls. Horses can compete at 2 consecutive heights.

All competitors must be a member and be on the BRC Database by midday the Friday before the qualifier and they must have a competition pass.

Rules and Regulations

All hats must have a visible current BRC/BE/PC hat tag in place before they are worn on the showground, to show that they meet the current safety standards. There will be a trained official available on the day to do this for you if your hat does not currently have one.

A body protector is mandatory for this competition.

PARAMEDICS WILL BE IN ATTENDANCE.

Your horse must have up to date influenza vaccinations in line with rule G7 in the current BRC Handbook. As of 1 October 2020, it is compulsory for all horses to be microchipped.

Competitors must supply their own number bibs.
